Softball Recap: North Vermillion Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Vermillion can now relate to. They came up short against the Covington Trojans on Tuesday, falling 13-1. The Falcons' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

North Vermillion saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

North Vermillion's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Covington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season.

North Vermillion does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covington, they will challenge Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 10.9 runs per game this season.
