Basketball Recap: Oak Ridge Takes Down Wellington in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Oak Ridge walked away with it. They blew past the Wellington Wolverines 91-65 on Monday. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Wellington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rashard Reinhardt, who posted 11 points and seven boards. What's more, he also posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Tovar, who scored 16 points.

Oak Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season. As for Wellington, their loss dropped their record down to 22-5.

Coming up, Oak Ridge will challenge Windermere at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Windermere's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 28 contests. Wellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
