Basketball Recap: Clearview's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

Clearview lost against Firelands back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Clearview Clippers lost 64-40 to the Firelands Falcons. The Clippers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Several Clippers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Deacon Delgado, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Delgado has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last ten times he's played. Quavion Grant was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Clearview's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Firelands, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Clearview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 92-53 loss against Brookside on the 24th. Firelands has also already played their next matchup, a 58-39 win against Oberlin on the 24th.
