Baseball Recap: Bardstown Comes Up Short

Bardstown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Taylor County Cardinals, falling 11-3. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caleb Nalley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base was his first of the season.

Bardstown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4-1. As for Taylor County, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bardstown will welcome Larue County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taylor County, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Lincoln County at 6:00 p.m. Lincoln County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
