            Volleyball Recap: Lake Orion Dragons vs. Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets        
        
		
        
        
            Lake Orion suffered their biggest  loss since October 9th on Thursday. They came up short against  the Detroit Country Day Yellowjackets, falling  3-0. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing  3-1 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Lake Orion took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17,  25-18.
 Izzy Lawhorn paced Lake Orion's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lawhorn got some help from  Sarah Traynoff and her 11 assists.  Kate DeLalla controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The  defeat snapped Lake Orion's winning streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 20-22-1 record. As for Detroit Country Day, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record  this season.
 Lake Orion has already played their next contest,  a  2-0  loss against Bloomfield Hills on the 25th. As for Detroit Country Day, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  2-1  win against Fenton on the 27th.
