McPherson strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Andale/Garden Plain Indians get on the board and left with a 23-0 win. Give the Bullpups' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Cade Strathman and Cowen Huggard were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Strathman tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Huggard tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Strathman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Strathman scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances, while Huggard scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Carter Bengtson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brock Richardson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4.

McPherson's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Andale/Garden Plain, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, McPherson will face off against Circle at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Andale/Garden Plain, they will square off against Collegiate at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th.
