Softball Recap: New Oxford Comes Up Short

New Oxford lost against Waynesboro back in April of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The New Oxford Colonials took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waynesboro Indians. The Colonials have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ellie Diehl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Maura Shirk, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

New Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Waynesboro, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Oxford will square off against Red Lion at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Red Lion will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something New Oxford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Waynesboro, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carlisle at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
