Clinton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering East Duplin just ended the team's four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Panthers. Dark Horses fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Panthers since Tuesday.

Clinton was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Heide Trask, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Southwest Onslow by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Stallions: they've now won six in a row.

Heide Trask had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-12, 25-12, 25-18.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Heide Trask, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
