Recap: Pinnacle Panthers vs. Freedom Prep Academy Eagles
The Pinnacle Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Freedom Prep Academy, posting a 51-8 win at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Pinnacle as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Pinnacle's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heather Kerr, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Kerr has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jostyn McLean, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Pinnacle's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-9. As for Freedom Prep Academy, their defeat was their 14th straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinnacle will take on Monticello at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against American Prep WV at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
