Maya Moore, the MaxPreps National Player of the Year in 2007, and
Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) head coach Sue Phillips are among those being enshrined in the 2024 class for the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Moore led
Collins Hill (Suwanee, Ga.) to a 125-3 record in her four years playing with the Eagles, averaging 25.2 points, 12.1 rebounds, 4.3 steals and 4.0 assists in 2007 as a senior. She captured three state titles, was named Georgia AAAAA Player of the Year three times and compiled 2,664 points and 1,212 rebounds in her career.
She played college basketball at UConn, winning two titles, before becoming the first pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx. Moore, who retired in 2018, won four WNBA titles, an MVP, a Finals MVP and two Olympic gold medals. She has been called the "greatest winner in the history of women's basketball."
Phillips has coached Mitty for more than 30 years, compiling a 789-138 record with numerous league and section titles while winning six CIF state championships. She has also led six USA Basketball U16 and U17 teams to gold medals, the most recent being the U17 team at the 2022 World Cup in Hungary.

The Hall is also honoring Cheyney State College with the Trailblazer of the Game award as the only HBCU to make a run to the women's NCAA Final Four. The For the Love of the Game award will be presented to the Afghan Resettlement Program, led by Tennessee's Sarah Hillyer and former Lady Vols star Michelle Marchiniak.
