Soccer Recap: Cleburne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mansfield Timberview last Tuesday, Cleburne came back down to earth. The Cleburne Yellowjackets fell 2-0 to the Everman Bulldogs on Friday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last five times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Cleburne dropped their record down to 5-9-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Everman, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cleburne will head out to take on Mansfield Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Everman, they will challenge Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Everman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
