Preview: Fyffe Red Devils vs. West End Patriots
Fyffe has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the West End Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Fyffe is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West End in Alabama (Fyffe is ranked 114th, while West End is ranked 364th).
Last Thursday, Fyffe beat Sylvania 21-10.
Meanwhile, West End was the victim of a tough 48-28 defeat at the hands of Glencoe on Friday. West End has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West End's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rocko Sainsbury, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, and Triston Chaney who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Fyffe's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-1. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.4 points. As for West End, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Everything came up roses for Fyffe against West End in their previous meeting back in October of 2015 as the team secured a 62-3 win. Will Fyffe repeat their success, or does West End have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
