Baseball Game Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. River Dell Golden Hawks

For the second straight game, Ramsey will face off against River Dell. The Rams will welcome the Golden Hawks at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Ramsey is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

River Dell will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Ramsey extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Rams' pitcher stepped up to hand the Golden Hawks a 10-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Rams have won by exactly ten runs.

Ramsey got a great performance from Joe Scarnechia as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Scarnechia has posted since back in May of 2025.

On the hitting side, Hudson Ferrando was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Connell, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Ramsey was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in three consecutive games.

River Dell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season. As for Ramsey, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
