Madison County waltzed into their matchup on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. Everything went their way against the Sardis Lions as they made off with a 15-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Savannah McGilton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Addy Gustafson was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sydney Gurley, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI.

Madison County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Madison County's record is now 24-10. As for Sardis, their defeat dropped their record down to 26-12.

Coming up, Madison County will take on Belgreen in a tournament on Friday. As for Sardis, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Etowah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
