Pompton Lakes put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Hawthorne Bears get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.

Pompton Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Hawthorne, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Pompton Lakes wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Fair Lawn on the 17th. Hawthorne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
