Recap: Castle View Sabercats vs. Mountain Vista Golden Eagles
After losing to the Mountain Vista Golden Eagles the last time they met, the Castle View Sabercats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Castle View strolled past Mountain Vista with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 51-36.
Leading Castle View to victory were Kenzie Tosch and Lizzy Mroz. Tosch scored 18 points along with seven assists, while Mroz dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mroz has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Scarlett Beerbower, who scored seven points along with ten rebounds.
Castle View is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Mountain Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Castle View will head out on the road to square off against Fossil Ridge at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Fossil Ridge is ranked 91st, while Castle View is ranked 94th). As for Mountain Vista, they will be playing at home against Air Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
