Recap: Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool vs. CHAAMP HomeSchool Hawks
After a string of three wins, Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 51-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of CHAAMP HomeSchool. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 183rd in Louisiana, while CHAAMP HomeSchool is ranked 988th in Texas).
It was another big night for David Harrison, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 21 rebounds for CHAAMP HomeSchool. Harrison hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Joe Hefner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with three steals.
Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for CHAAMP HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. CHAAMP HomeSchool will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tournament Opponent at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th. Tournament Opponent is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
