Basketball Game Preview: River Falls Wildcats vs. Eau Claire North Huskies

River Falls and Eau Claire North are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The River Falls Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the Eau Claire North Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. River Falls is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, River Falls ended up a good deal behind Rice Lake and lost 56-37. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Warriors are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Eau Claire North lost 70-46 to Eau Claire Memorial on Tuesday. The Huskies have struggled against the Old Abes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

River Falls' record is now 2-11. As for Eau Claire North, their record is now 7-7.

River Falls was able to grind out a solid victory over Eau Claire North in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 65-58. Will River Falls repeat their success, or does Eau Claire North have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
