Basketball Recap: New Haven Shamrocks vs. Clopton Hawks

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Haven can now relate to. They were dealt a 64-21 defeat at the hands of the Clopton Hawks on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Shamrocks have suffered against the Hawks since February 26, 2016.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clopton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Charleigh Spoonster, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Spoonster a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tinleigh Spoonster, who posted 13 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.

New Haven has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. The win (which was Clopton's fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.
