AAAA Region III recap Oct. 9, 2012

Nation Ford suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to South Pointe. The Falcons had been ranked 25th, but fell to 26 following the defeat.

York extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region III this week by beating Lancaster, 49-6. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Cougars.

Nation Ford's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Falcons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dalton Helms has thrown for 1559 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while AK McCoy has 38 catches for 798 yards. Daniel Jackson leads the league in rushing with 382 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Nation Ford takes on York. The Falcons 's offense has racked up 248 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Bobby Carroll's team has allowed only 54 on the year.

A big matchup in AAAA Region III this week will be when Nation Ford takes on the Cougars. At the moment, the Falcons are in fourth, while York is in first.
