Washington Township entered their tilt with Kouts on Thursday with ten consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 11. They came out on top against the Mustangs & Fillies by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

Ryan Brinkley paced Washington Township's offense, picking up 16 kills. Brinkley got some help from Aiden Armstrong and his 38 assists. Finally, Ian Vogel kept Washington Township's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Kouts lost, don't look at Cash Terpstra. Despite the final result, he had 26 digs. Terpstra is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Washington Township's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Kouts, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Township will head out to face off against Boone Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wolves will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Senators surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kouts, they will venture away from home to take on Illiana Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
