Soccer Recap: Columbus East Takes a Loss

After soaring to six goals the game before, Columbus East was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They came up short against the Franklin Community Grizzly Cubs, falling 6-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Columbus East of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Columbus East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Columbus East is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Bloomington North at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Franklin Community, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give Franklin Community their first taste of in-conference action this season.
