Basketball Recap: Kern Valley Takes a Loss

Kern Valley was the 52-37 winner over Boron when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kern Valley Broncs took a 45-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boron Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why Kern Valley lost on Tuesday, don't look at Aiden Madden. Despite the final result, he posted 16 points. That was a full 39% of Kern Valley's points, marking the third time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Parks, who put up five points.

Boron got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Moses Garcia out in front who scored seven points in addition to 18 boards and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Morgan, who earned six points and ten rebounds.

Kern Valley dropped their record down to 6-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Boron, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Kern Valley has already played their next matchup, a 62-57 loss against Desert on the 31st. Boron has also already played their next contest (against Mammoth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
