South Shore waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 36-29 win over the Brooklyn Technical Engineers. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Engineers are ranked 322nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

South Shore now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Brooklyn Technical, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

South Shore and Brooklyn Technical will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Vikings see the field they'll take on Wagner at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Brooklyn Technical, their break will end when they face New Dorp on the 18th.
