Softball Preview: Geneva County Bulldogs vs. Bethlehem Wildcats

The Geneva County Bulldogs will square off against the Bethlehem Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Geneva County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Poplar Springs as they made off with a 16-0 win. The Bulldogs have beaten the Atomics the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Atomics has come to flipping the script.

Kaylee Watson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Maci Strickland was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Anna Anderson Cruz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
