The Geneva County Bulldogs will square off against the Bethlehem Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Geneva County's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Poplar Springs as they made off with a 16-0 win. The Bulldogs have beaten the Atomics the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Atomics has come to flipping the script.

Kaylee Watson made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Maci Strickland was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Anna Anderson Cruz, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.
Geneva County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poplar Springs only posted an OBP of .250.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bethlehem faced off against Malone on Monday. The Wildcats blew past the Tigers 20-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.
Like Geneva County, Bethlehem also got a great game from a two-way player: Mackenzie Saporito. She pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Saporito was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
In other batting news, Morgan Faircloth was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Ruby Bailey was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.
The victory got Bethlehem back to even at 4-4. As for Geneva County, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Geneva County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .543. However, it's not like Bethlehem struggles in that department as they've averaged .521. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Geneva County suffered a grim 21-14 defeat to Bethlehem in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
