Soccer Game Preview: Morrow vs. Lovejoy

Morrow is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to take on the Lovejoy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m.

Morrow came up short against Forest Park on Friday, falling 5-1. The loss continues a trend for Morrow in their meetings with Forest Park: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Lovejoy made sure to put some goals up on the board against Utopian Academy for the Arts on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Utopian Academy for the Arts an 8-0 shutout. Considering Lovejoy's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Morrow now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Lovejoy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Morrow might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Lovejoy in their previous meeting back in February of 2025. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Mustangs were down 6-2.
