The Williston Red Devils will challenge the Interlachen Rams at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Williston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Belleview hit Williston with a six-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Devils fell just short of the Rattlers by a score of 7-6.
Colby Jansen put in work no matter where he played. He tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Jansen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.
Jansen wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Daxton Weston, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Interlachen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over Hawthorne on Thursday. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Like Williston, Interlachen also got a great game from a two-way player: Justin Lockhart. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, Lockhart posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cason Turner, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2025. Jarrett Cribbs was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Williston's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Interlachen, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
