Softball Recap: Spartanburg Christian Academy's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Spartanburg Christian Academy won the last time they faced Laurens Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. Spartanburg Christian Academy's pitchers stepped up to hand Laurens Academy an 8-0 shutout. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Elizabeth Thompson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Hayden Kennedy was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Kate Hutchins was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Spartanburg Christian Academy's record is now 2-0. As for Laurens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
