Baseball Recap: Timberline Takes a Loss

Timberline fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Mountain View on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Logan Thistle made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run.

This is the second loss in a row for Timberline and nudges their season record down to 4-12. As for Mountain View, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberline will welcome Owyhee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mountain View, they will host Boise at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Brave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Mavericks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
