Basketball Recap: Powder Valley Takes a Loss

Powder Valley lost against Union back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Powder Valley Badgers lost to the Union Bobcats on the road by a 54-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Badgers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while the Bobcats are ranked 90th).

Powder Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Union, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Powder Valley has already played their next game (against Pine Eagle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Union Bobcats face off against the Wallowa Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
