Tojuan Peyton Jr. Crosses Big Stat Threshold
On Friday, Lanier had to settle for second even though Tojuan Peyton Jr. put up the best numbers he has all season. Peyton Jr. rushed for 421 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 15.6 yards per carry. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.1 rushing touchdowns per game. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 85-yard run.
Lanier now has a losing record at 4-5. Peyton Jr. and Lanier will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seckinger at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st.
