Volleyball Recap: Menomonee Falls Falls Short Against Ranked Waunakee

Menomonee Falls faced Waunakee in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Phoenix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Phoenix were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Leading Waunakee to victory were Kendall Scadden and Amy Denkert. Scadden had nine digs and three assists, while Denkert had nine assists.

Menomonee Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Waunakee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 26-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menomonee Falls will host Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Phoenix are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Waunakee, they will challenge Monona Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
