Volleyball Recap: Perry Panthers vs. Jackson Polar Bears

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Jackson Polar Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Polar Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-12.

Adysen Hill paced Perry's offense, picking up five kills. Hill got some help from Makenna Knop and her nine assists. Hill was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Leading Jackson to victory were Maren Evanto and Grace Gandee. Evanto had 11 digs, while Gandee had three aces. That's the most aces Gandee has posted over her last seven matchups.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Jackson, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Perry wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Coventry on the 14th. As for Jackson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Norwalk on the 11th.
