Volleyball Recap: Desert Mountain Comes Up Short

Desert Mountain was the 3-0 winner over Arcadia when they last played one another on September 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Saturday.

Ava Archibald paced Desert Mountain's offense, picking up 13 kills. Archibald got some help from Ayana Conklin and her 11 assists. Miranda McDonald controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Desert Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Arcadia, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Desert Mountain has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Moreau Catholic on the 27th. As for Arcadia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Omaha Northwest on the 27th.
