Volleyball Recap: Homestead Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Homestead took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Mourning, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Homestead sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Mourning on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Broncos as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Homestead's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Mourning, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Homestead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Ransom Everglades on the 22nd. As for Mourning, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jackson at 4:00 p.m. on April 1.
