Football Game Preview: Bayshore Bruins vs. Gibbs Gladiators + How To Watch

The Bayshore Bruins will face off against the Gibbs Gladiators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bayshore and six for Gibbs.

Last Friday, Bayshore was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 19-13 to Boca Ciega.

Jaydis Wiley put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 72 yards and one score on only nine carries, and also threw for 195 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (90 yards to be exact) went to Camdon Stancil.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Gibbs' offense. They had to suffer through a 28-0 loss at the hands of Lakewood. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while the Spartans are ranked 66th).

Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Bayshore, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Bayshore skirted past Gibbs 18-16 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Gladiators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
