Basketball Recap: Archbishop Bergan Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Norfolk Catholic typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Archbishop Bergan proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over Norfolk Catholic.

Norfolk Catholic lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gavin Schutt, who posted ten points and five boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Hammond, who earned 12 points.

Archbishop Bergan is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points over those games. Norfolk Catholic's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 18-8.
