Basketball Recap: Briggs Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Briggs was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 60-29 loss at the hands of the South Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 705th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 281st).

South got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Neko Tuff out in front who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of John Glover, who had 11 points.

Briggs has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season. As for South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Briggs is taking a road trip to challenge Africentric Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Africentric Early College will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something Briggs surely won't give up without a fight. As for South, they will face off against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season.
