Soccer Recap: East Laurens Takes a Loss

If East Laurens was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Trinity Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The East Laurens Falcons fell just short of the Dodge County Indians by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

East Laurens' loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for Dodge County, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Laurens will host Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Laurens is facing Northeast at the right time seeing as Northeast is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Dodge County, they will be playing at home against Toombs County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Toombs County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.
