Volleyball Recap: Tintic Takes a Loss

If Tintic was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wendover last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Miners fell 3-1 to the Tabiona Tigers on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Miners of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 21-25, 25-15, 25-19.

Tabiona was led to victory by Bella Gines and Peyton Pippy. Gines had four digs and two aces, while Pippy had 19 kills, five digs, and three aces. That's the most aces Gines has posted over her last seven matches.

Tintic's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Tabiona, their record is now 8-11.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Tintic is set to square off against their familiar foe Rich at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Tabiona will challenge rival Altamont at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
