Baseball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westran on Thursday, Montgomery County came back down to earth. The Wildcats fell 6-3 to the Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs on Friday.

Montgomery County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fort Zumwalt South, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Montgomery County will take on Hannibal at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last five games the Pirates have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Fort Zumwalt South, they will square off against Orchard Farm at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
