Soccer Recap: St. Mary's Comes Up Short

St. Mary lost against Cortez back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Knights fell just short of the Colts by a score of 2-1.

St. Mary's goal came courtesy of Jose Rodriguez Perez, which was the first he's scored this season.

St. Mary's now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cortez, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

St. Mary's and Cortez will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Knights see the pitch they'll take on Tempe at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for Cortez, their break will end when they face Washington at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
