There's no place like home for Dayton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Spring Creek Spartans on Friday. Considering the Dust Devils have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

LaSade Conti made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 16 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple.

In other batting news, Dayton let Grace Grahmann and Bradlie Stevens run wild. Grahmann scored a run while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Stevens scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Grahmann a new career-high in RBI (three). Macie Hannum was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.

Dayton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Creek only posted an OBP of .308.

Dayton's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Spring Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Dayton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Spring Creek: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
