Julian Gonzales was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Gonzales was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Jessie Castillo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Brian Cantu also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hale Center kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as White Deer only managed four hits.

Meanwhile, Shamrock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Highland Park, falling 16-2.

Hale Center's record now sits at 5-3. As for Shamrock, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
