Marlboro Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Cambridge Academy with a sharp 55-33 win.

Meanwhile, Jefferson Davis Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 63-57 to Curtis Baptist.

Marlboro Academy will need to focus on slowing down Colson Loadholt, one of several Jefferson Davis Academy players who made an impact when they last played. He dropped a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Loadholt is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Still, who almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Jefferson Davis Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in eight consecutive matches.
