Soccer Recap: Boerne-Champion Comes Up Short

Boerne-Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pieper Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in January.

Boerne-Champion's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Pieper, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Looking ahead, Boerne-Champion will head out on the road to take on New Braunfels at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Pieper, they will welcome Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pieper is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
