Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cameron Webb and Annabelle (AB) Cureton Lead Oconee County to Victory

After losing to White County the last time they met, Oconee County decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oconee County came out on top against White County by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Oconee County.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Oconee County was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-13.

Oconee County was led to victory by Annabelle (AB) Cureton and Cameron Webb. Cureton had five digs and five aces, while Webb had three digs and one assist. Those five aces gave Cureton a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Oconee County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

The win got Oconee County back to even at 5-5. As for White County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Oconee County has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against LaFayette on the 16th. White County has also already played their next contest (against Trinity Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
