Volleyball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-13. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradshaw Christian Pride. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Emily Sverdan paced Rosemont's offense, picking up 12 kills. Sverdan got some help from Kaylee Lenno and her 16 assists. Sverdan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

As for Bradshaw Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season. That looming 3-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Bradshaw Christian found their leader in freshman Fabiola Torres, who had 15 digs and two assists. Caitlin Hernandez was another key player, getting nine digs.

Rosemont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Galt on the 30th. As for Bradshaw Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Amador on the 30th.
