The Liberty Christian Academy Knights can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 44-36 win over Columbus Christian Academy. Liberty Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than DJ Cuffee, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cuffee has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tanner Kuykendall, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Liberty Christian Academy's victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-11. As for Columbus Christian Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8.
Liberty Christian Academy will square off against the Pacers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbus Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
