Volleyball Recap: Brookfield East's Winning Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Brookfield East couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 3-1 to the Oconomowoc Raccoons on Saturday. The Spartans' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Oconomowoc's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jayce Keller led the charge by getting 20 digs and two assists. Keller is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Sage Christman was another key player, getting 11 digs and two aces.

Brookfield East's loss dropped their record down to 38-10. As for Oconomowoc, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 39-2.

As of now, neither Brookfield East nor the Raccoons have any future games scheduled.
